shiek.jpgSheik1502 viewsThis is a major redesgn. I am a follower or the Sheik= zelda in magical disquise theroy, not the sheik = sex change theroy. So I started to create ways that zelda could hide her rather curvious features. Sheik is a very mysterious figure, so when I think mystery, I think of a shadowy apperance, a look that you cant tell if the person is good or evil at first glance. And so I drapped shiek in torn, dirty rags, and a cloak. I also gave sheik the apperance that she is fading into the air, and because the sheikia are called the shadow people, it seems to suit them well. Not only do the garmets confuse you on the gender, and make her mysterious, if you think about how she would move, and fight in battle, the wrappings would swing out, almost like wings when she uses her acrobatic movements, confusing eneimes by limiting thier sight of her body movements. Her armory consist of a long pale knife, smaller combat knifes, and numerous needle knifes, for throwing ( most likely poisioned tipped). Also on her right thigh, the handle of a whip can be seen. If you see this, please comment if you approve of the changes.Braxis

Stafolsfull.jpgStalfos1580 viewsMy interpretation of a stalfos. I always thought the stalfos was a sweet baddie. I like to think of a stalfos as more of a spirit or demon, that posesses the bones and courpses of the dead. Because the stafols would require the bones, limbs and weapons only for battle, It could assemble itesf from a variety of things, in a variety of shapes (someimes even adding extra limbs if need be). The only way to kill it would be to cut off its head and smash the skull, where the spirit resides in the body. Merely taking a limb off, while effective, would not keep the stalfos off for long, for it could regenerate itself with the same bones, or different bones altogether. This pic originally had three arms, to show of its abilities, but I felt it looked to corny in the pose he was in, so I lopped it off for now.Braxis

Ganondorf.jpgThe Prince of Thieves1590 viewsMy version of Ganondorf. This is what I feel ganondorf looked like in the child portion of OOT. I felt that his orginal design, while being awesome, did not suit someone that lived and trived in the desert. So I changed all that. He now wears more cloth then armor. I gave him a scarf to wrap around his face during wind storms in the desert, and for raids or something. His body has many scars over it from his battles. Im not sure why he is wearing sandles, but they give him a better desert appreance (or at least I think so). I also gave him middle eastern themed weapons, that he could hack and thrust with. I also gave him a waterskin, because no matter how strong you are, the desert will consume you if you dont have water. Overall I think this design came out well. You should expect the a new link really soon!Braxis

zora.jpgZora1136 viewsHere is my redesign of the male Zora. As you can see, not much has changed. The major changes would be to the hands, which have become more fish or bird like, but have two opposible thumbs on each side. His fins remain relatively the same except the two arm fins. The arms fins, when in the water, are strecthd out, allowing the zora to glide through the water at great speeds with little movement. When out of the water, the fins contract and slide up the arm, sticking upwards from the elbow. I placed the gills at the rib-cage, so the zora can still breath even with partially surfaced. His outfit is only a few garments, a shrawl around the waist, and some arm and shin bands. Also instead of having normal eyes I gave him shark like eyes, for better sight underwater. One will assume they have dolphin like sonar, but you cant draw that, so its implied.Braxis

hylain.jpgHylain Guard1470 viewsOk, I havent posted in a long time, but just to show that I am still working on zelda design, Here is a hylain guard. Nothing out of the ordinary went in to drawing this, but it did take quite awhile to get the armor to look right, and to look in a way that he wouldnt be too restricted to movement. I tried to keep the roman-esque feel of the hylians from oot, but also added thier own little style of armor. I decided silver armor and black cloth would look really cool, and the triforce symbol on the chest plate could be bronze, or gold. Hope you like it, comment any changes that should be made.Braxis

Darnaku.jpgDurnaku1061 viewsThis is the first of my darknut designs. The first and formost change is the name. These are enemies that you fear to fight in Wind Waker, that are great and ruthless fighters, yet they have one of the worst names. So I changed it to durnaku (Dur Na Ku). At least that is what they would call themselves in their own tounge. I could see hylain common folk calling them darknuts for a shorter, easier to remember name (like gator for Alligator). They still have their bulging design seen in Wind Waker, but they have become more animal like as well. This design is the base of the Durnaku. All other designs will be based on this( The same goes for my Goron and Zora, they are all bases to draw on). I plan to do a armored Durnaku, and also a wild one, untamed by the dark powers and fully animalistic in nature. Keep an eye out for themBraxis

Link.jpgLink1923 viewsWell, here it is, my design of Link. Im not sure which game this link could fit into, so lets just say he is my own link, from my own game, that I designed, and ill never release. So there. With that said, here are some things id like to share about the design:
Well, first of all, There is the overall look. Hes adult, mature, and definitely made to kick some moblin butt. Some major things added would be the steel armor on the shins, gauntlets, and chest plate and shoulder gaurds. The chainmail makes up for the lack of true armor, and keeps him flexible. Also you can see little pouches here and there at his belt, and even some slash and stratches on his tunic, one of which has been quickly repaired.
Here are some things I would like to point out in detail. First of all, his sword, which is a original design. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v427/image57/linksword.jpg I don’t have much reason as to why I drew it the way I did, it just kind of came out of my pencil. The same goes with the sheath. As you can see, I made sure they would fit into each other nicely.
Next would be his pack and bomb bag. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v427/image57/linkequitment2.jpg I always thought since link is a great traveler, and has so much stuff, he would need a pack. So I gave him one. In it he would keep the things that he doesn’t need at the ready all the time, such as potions, jars, cloths, and various other items. The bomb bag is much different then the one seen in the games, and has its inspiration from a mail pouch. Easily accessible, but always at the ready. See my goron weapons design for more on the bombs.
The bow and arrow. Nothing so special here, just put a lot of detail into this stuff to make it unique. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v427/image57/linkequitment3.jpg
And finally the hookshot. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v427/image57/linkhookshot.jpg I spent a long time designing this. First of all, its strapped to links gaunlent, which was just a idea that I liked. Now here is how it works. Link points the hookshot at the intended target then presses the inner button on the handle. It releases the spring, which shoots the hook. As the hook hits the target and goes into it, the sensitive tip triggers the hooks that come out from the side of the main blade. They keep the hookshot in place. Then link pulls on the other lever on the handle, which triggers a spring on the opposite side, pulling him closer to the extended blade. When he reaches his destination, he simply slides the button on the side of the blade stem that disables the extra hooks, retrieves the blade, and there ya go.
Well that’s it. I love comments, so tell me what you think and what changes or additions can be made. Thanks…

moblin.jpgMoblin1336 viewsHere we have your simple moblin warrior. I've been trying to nail one of these for awhile, but I always messed up when I worked on the face and tryed to 'pig' up his legs by making them bow legged. So I just changed all that. The legs are normal, aside from the ninja turtle like hoof feet. I just couldnt get the face looking as grim as I wanted it, so I just put a leather cap on him, which kinda takes any kind of individually of the character, and blends him in with the rest of his crew. Faceless if you will. Nice little touch for the evil war machine that is ganon's minions. I love his sword, I think it fits him perfectly, right down to the skull tiped pummel. Little things make this pic good, such as the skull neckless that you would reconize from wind waker, and the hylain shin-gaurd and gaunlet. It makes it feel like the moblins would just pick stuff off the battlefield, which suits thier characters perfectly. Everything else is just for show, but I like it, and I think it came out swell. Please comment.BraxisFeb 28, 2005

child link.jpgOOT Child Link (cel)1417 viewsThis is my first attempt at cel shading, ever. I was just trying to get the feel for the style, and colored it in paint, so its not the best coloring job in the world. This is a version of child link from OOT, with only the sword and the shield visible. Its kinda hard to not add detail to these pics. But oh well, enjoy...BraxisFeb 10, 2005
